Spring makeup look – Bronzed skin and bright lip

Hello Hotties,

Spring is finally here, YAAAASSSSSSSSSSS!

Okay,  I’ve been absolutely dying to put the winter stuff away and I’m pretty sure that little bit of snow we had last week was the last of it.  I’m getting rid of anything that reminds me of cold weather and am pulling out my floral prints, open toed shoes and every bright lipstick I own. Give me some sun and bronzed skin right meow.

I couldn’t be more ready to spring into summer and with that being said I am putting together this sunlit, bright lip, bronzed skin look.

I’ve always been one to love a bronzed look with a vivid lip.  Its such a clean look and is super easy to achieve. When doing a bright lip its nice to keep the focus on your pout and not go too dark on the eyes, so I chose to go with Anastasia Beverly Hills shadow in “caramel” and have kept the eyes matte because I’ll be “glowing” everywhere else. You could also choose to leave the eyes with no colour at all, it looks just as good and can save a few minutes of your time.  I’m also using my intensely pigmented and hella bright lipstick by NYX in the colour “Orange County”. It’s the liquid suede line which is such a great formula. For full product details go on and keep reading.

For a spring look like this you want to keep the skin looking nice and radiant, so I used Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Foundation. I also used the Naked skin concealer in the colour Light/warm and lightly set my under eyes with NYX Matte not flat powder in “natural”.  I didn’t powder my whole face as to keep that nice glow to it.  For a bit of colour and contour I used the Cinema secrets light face pallet and Mac’s “Give Me Sun” Mineralize skin finish. For the cheeks I used NYX  high definition blush in “double dare”. I often tend to do cheeks and lips very bright when I do this look, but you could use more or less blush than I’ve used here.  It all depends on your personal preference. For brows I used the NYX Micro Brow pencil in the shade “Ash Brown” and topped it off with a bit of Anastasia Beverly hills brow powder duo in “Dark Brown”.

To finish off the eyes I put some nude liner in my waterline and did two coats of L’oréal Waterproof Mascara in “carbon Black” (best drug store mascara out there, it’s one of my all time favs).  You can choose to put lashes on or not. I actually decided to forgo the lashes on this look because I wanted the focus to be on my lips. Sometimes I think less is more when it comes to this easy spring look, but again it’s completely personal preference.

I always set my face with Mac fix + and add some highlighter to the top of my cheeks, tip of my nose, inner corners of the eyes and the cupids bow. I used Mac’s limited edition Nutcracker face compact and added “Tutu” to get that nice glimmer.  You can add more if you want, in fact, i’m known to do my chin and forehead too (highlight all day bitches, am I right?). There’s an array of bright lipsticks out there and I say the brighter the better when coming into spring.  Don’t be afraid to wear something that pops and makes you stick out, own your look and rock that shit. Thanks for reading babes.

If you liked this look or have a comment or suggestion please leave it below.  I’ll definitely be doing more spring and summer inspired looks over the next few weeks.

Ciao, Bellas.
